Henderson Engineers, Inc. acquires Acoustical Design Group, broadens technology services
Henderson Engineers, Inc. (HEI) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Acoustical Design Group (ADG), a 26 year-old acoustical and audiovisual design firm based in Kansas City. Russ Olsen and Ian Wolfe, managing principals, will join as Associates. Olsen, Wolfe and the remaining ADG employees will align with Collective Tech, a division of HEI, bringing with them a diverse portfolio of project experience. The merger will officially take place December 17, 2012, and the new division will be Collective Tech/ADG.
"HEI is excited for the opportunity to immediately strengthen our specialty services and in particular Collective Tech, providing our clients with the most comprehensive and highest quality services possible," said Duane Henderson, President and CEO. "ADG offers a breadth of experience in acoustics and audio-visual design and we are enthusiastic about their employees joining our team."
HEI’s Collective Tech offers a full range of technology and security solutions for public and private commercial, education, military, retail, institutional, sports, and government facilities. Collective Tech and ADG have worked together on many successful projects since the late 1980s. ADG’s expertise in acoustical design, noise and vibration control and audiovisual systems design is a natural fit with Collective Tech’s capabilities and further strengthens HEI’s ability to bring comprehensive building system design services to all types of project teams.
